![]() ![]() After the CTS sedan arguably restored Cadillac to a position of past automotive luxury glory, it seemed only natural that the American brand wanted to accentuate their greatest modern sales success. Adding the CTS Sport Wagon and more recently a Coupe, Cadillac promises the limited edition V-Line will also span through the mid-sized car’s expanded lineup
Going on sale late this year at a starting price of $62,990, the 2011 Cadillac CTS-V wagon will be highlighted by the supercharged, 6.2 liter V-8 powerplant. Pumping out 556 horsepower and 551 pounds-feet of torque, this hauler edition of the CTS-V delivers a 0-60 mile per hour time in only 4 seconds. Beyond the high-performance engine, the CTS-V Wagon sportier aspirations is enhanced by Magnetic Ride Control, adaptive HID headlamps, Brembo brakes and Michelin Pilot Sport PS2 radial tires within 19 inch aluminum wheels As a sweet American V-8 sound flows out of the exhaust pipes, wonderful music can filter throughout the interior with the Cadillac CTS-V Wagon’s Bose 5.1 Cabin Sound audio system. The CTS-V Wagon’s cockpit is further supported by a in-dash navigational system storing maps within a 40 gigabyte hard drive Coming well-loaded for the under $63,000 base price, Cadillac has made available a small list of extra cost equipment for the CTS-V Wagon. The most expensive option at $3,400, the factory front seats would be replaced with specially-suited high-performance buckets provided by racing seat designer Recaro. Riding in the ventilated and heated Recaro driver’s seat, a $300 suede steering wheel along with gear lever adds a tactile feel of a precision-built, high-performance car. Polished 19 inch wheels and midnight Sapele wood trim rounds out the option list Asserted by General Motors as a limited edition vehicle for 2011, the Cadillac CTS-V Wagon’s performance, luxury and hauling capabilities is a purely uncompromised driving experience |
