GM presented the teaser of the 2013 Opel Astra Cabrio

Opel Astra Cabrio teaser was revealed one year before entering the market. Mark Adams decided to present this image after very curious photographers managed to take pictures of the convertible Astra prototype.
The cabriolet will have as base the three-door version and will feature a retractable canvas top that will replace the metal one. If you take a closer look at the picture you will notice the fact that the model has a longer rear than the hatchback.
So far this teaser is the only thing we have and know about the Opel Astra cabriolet. But hey, why not let our imagination get creative. For example the carmaker can keep the hard-top version transmission and the engine line-up. Also the Opel team can create in the future VXR / OPC / GTC versions of the Opel Astra cabriolet as well.
But until then let's just enjoy what we have and know.
