Time for some stiffer springs or a larger stabilizer bar or a more rigid rear torsion beam

Why all of the above? Because these two scenarios (and many others) are actually what really matters when it comes to a street car, meant for the masses, just like our cars are. Those guys in Wolfsburg spend years of developing the cars and it is really years, it is not something I made up. All that time goes so our cars can go through those cones above in the best possible way, at the highest possible speed and with the least trained driver behind the wheel. Those are the real tasks that safe life. I am sure they know very, very well how to make the A4 Golf (for example) be a lot more �fun� to drive, with a lot less under steer, etc � but a Golf like that perhaps will fail the above tests so badly, in the hands of the untrained driver, and so the corporate decision is to go with plan �B� � a car which the enthusiasts will not love, but in which everyone is going to be safe, regardless of their driving skills, road conditions, etc. And when looking at those tests above, our A4s and A5s are actually top performers, so it is not quite true that they �suck� in handling � they can actually �handle� those situations very, very well and car like that can not be called a bad handling car.

Dacia Logan 2012 !!!!

It will be the cheapest Dacia (unless the Bajaj-Renault ULC is badged a Dacia) and as the name suggests it will be a city car. It is based on a platform similar to the Logan/Sandero and will be 3.5-3.6 meters in length. It will be a 5 door car and will use lots of bits from other Dacia�s to keep the costs as low as possible.
To further keep the costs down the car will be confined to a petrol motor. A 1.2 liter 16 Valve 75 BHP unit. There is a possibility of the 1.5 dci (70 BHP) also coming in at a later stage. Both these engines will be used on Renault and Nissan�s vehicles here in India.
The car will not be very stylish as such but will carry a family look with the front looking similar to the Sandero. But what is even more interesting is the price tag. According to reports it will be priced between 5000-6000 euros. This means we are looking at an under 4 lakh rupee price tag if at all this comes to India.
Renault has aggressive plans for India and this Dacia will not be A bad option. A good value for money hatch is what a company must have to succeed in our market. The Renault V-Platform hatchback is on track for India and will be priced above 4 lakh. This Dacia could sit very well below it. And then we also have the the Bajaj-Renault ULC that will be priced under .

In July 2005, a "Fahrdynamik-Test" (similar to an elk-test, but not identical)conducted by the German ADAC claimed that the lack of an Electronic Stability Program by Dacia Logan makes it roll over when braking in turns while at 65 km/h. More pictures here. Later that month, the Romanian version of Top Gear claimed to have repeated the elk test and, according to the results published on their website, the Logan passed the test at speeds of 72 km/h, 84 km/h and 87 km/h. Article in Romanian [2]. However, it should be noted that the test performed by Top Gear was a standard elk-test, while the "Fahrdynamik-Test" performed the by the ADAC was quite different. Top Gear falsely claimed that the test was identical to the one performed by the ADAC. Later, on September 9, ADAC published the results of further incident investigation, showing that the rollover was actually caused by faulty tires and not by improper car design. It was later admitted by the German testers that the car failed after an unusual number of elk tests that had worn down the tires of the test car.
