Ben Walsh’s High Sea Concept: Bugatti Veyron Sang Bleu Speedboat

The mastermind behind the Cadillac Converj Concept is at it again, this time taking his ideas to the next level beyond pavement and conquering the seas, much like what Mercedes-Benz AMG did with its SLS-inspired speedboat.
Ben Walsh, interior designer for PSA Peugeot Citroën, transforms a custom Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport into its marine counterpart to bring us the Bugatti Veyron Sang Bleu speedboat. The automaker stunned spectators with its “Sang Bleu” edition at the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance back in 2009, so Walsh capitalized on the design and created a 30-foot speedboat that sports the same polished aluminum and royal blue carbon fiber construction, with the same Gaucho leather gracing the interior as the motorcar.

Walsh’s superyacht “concept” remains just that, but back in the 1920s, company founder Ettore Bugatti also had the same vision of developing an exclusive high-powered motorboat, making this idea not so far out of reach…beside the price.
