Mercedes-Benz tops the list twice


In What Car?’s prestigious annual Car of the Year awards, Mercedes-Benz has scooped the Safety Award for the innovative Attention Assist system. Fitted as standard to the E-Class range, Attention Assist works by continuously analysing the vehicle’s behaviour and steering movements to warn the driver when typical signs of drowsiness are detected, enhancing driving safety.

Additionally, and for the fourth year running, a Mercedes-Benz S-Class has caught the judges’ eye in the Luxury Car category. Having been “built to the most exacting standards using gorgeous materials”, it was the S 350 CDI BlueEFFICIENCY that shone brighter than others to be crowned Best Luxury Car 2010. It comes as no surprise that the S-Class is the worldwide market leader in the premium segment.
