Environmentally-friendly Green tec version will be available for the Fabia and Roomster lines and also for the Octavia 1.4 TSI. Two-colour concept – 4 colour roofs for the Yeti. A year has passed and ŠKODA is back again with innovations and changes to make its offering even more attractive. Made to all of the brand’s model lines, the improvements will be applied to vehicles produced from Week 22/2011 on.
One of the biggest innovations in the Fabia and Roomster lines is the launch of Green tec, an environmentally-friendly version designed for the 1.2 TSI/63 kW and 1.2 TSI/77 kW engines with manual transmission. Green tec will also be available for the Fabia with the three-cylinder 1.2 12V HTP/51 kW engine. The attractive Scout version will be optionally available with LED daytime headlamps, and the (special-edition) Family models will offer both the existing black upholstery and a brand new a blue interior.
The most visible innovation in the Yeti line is what the manufacturer calls the “two-colour concept”, a combination of the roof in one of four available colours with the body in a different colour. Furthermore, the outside look of the vehicle can be individualised by means of the Reef design packet and new 16“ Nevis lightweight alloy wheels. As an option, the interior comfort can be enhanced with a fully-foldable passenger seat backrest that enables the user to transport long objects or use the folded backrest as a table. In the Ambition and Experience trim levels, the back sides of the front seat backrests are available with small foldable tables that (not only) children will appreciate on long trips. Another innovation is remote control that comes automatically with independent additional heating.
The environmentally-friendly Green tec version has been available for the Octavia 1.6 TDI CR DPF/77 kW since November 2010. Starting in Model Year 2012, the Green tec version will also be available for the 1.4 TSI/90 kW petrol engine with manual transmission. The specification of the Octavia Combi GreenLine adapted for Model Year 2012 is based exclusively on the Ambiente trim level and combined CO2 emissions of 107 g/km. Sporty users of trailers and campers will appreciate a towing device in the list of optional equipment for Octavia RS models. Optional independent additional heating will automatically come with remote control.
The owners of Superbs will appreciate the launch of a front seat ventilation system, an innovation that will be particularly pleasant in summer. The exterior accessories portfolio will be extended with 17“ (Laurel) and 18“ (Luxon) lightweight alloy wheels.
Škoda has also innovated radios, navigation systems, MDI interfaces and GSM phone pre-installation across its model lines. Probably the most interesting innovation is the Amundsen navigation system that newly includes maps and a GSM II hands-free module for safe and easy phone communication while driving. Optionally, the system can include a DAB receiver.
The paints portfolio will be extended with new items, too: Lava blue (all models), Malachit green (Roomster, Yeti, Superb) and Platin grey (Fabia, Octavia), metallic paints to replace the existing Storm blue, Amazonian green and Aqua blue
