Automatic 405 Pars & DieseL 206 SD Presented
Automatic Pars and Diesel Peugeot 206 SD passenger cars were presented as IKCO's new products to Iranian and international reporters and were test derived by them during a press conference held on Saturday 17 Jan. 2009.
To attain perfection in product ranges, to create a suitable basis for automatic cars global sales and to meet the domestic and international buyers’ need were IKCO’s goal to present Automatic Pars and Diesel Peugeot 206 SD. This action introduces IKCO as the first Iranian carmaker to produce diesel engine passenger cars.
IKCO is about to introduce Samand equipped with automatic transmission system to the markets by March 20. This model will come with a new designed interior trim.

Automatic Pras
The power train of Pars automatic is a 1600 cc TU5 engine and an automatic AL4 gearbox. The engine power is 108 hp and it could attain the maximum speed of 187 km/h. It takes 14.2 seconds to reach from zero to 100 km/h. The fuel consumption is 8.15 liters in combined cycle.
In order to make a harmony between the car and the automatic transmission system, there have been changes made to the cooling system, electric and electronic system, wiring harnesses, instrument cluster, gear selection system, and some parts of the body where gearbox and engine are mounted.
Automatic pars enjoys a four speed automatic transmission system and a torque convertor that works with an internal integrated differential and TCU control system that offers the driver a high efficiency in the initial take off as well as driving on slippery snowy roads.
This would be the first Iranian automatic car in classes C and D, passing Euro IV standards and all the tests related to the pollution and stability and maneuverability for road conditions of Iran.
Annual production capacity of this product would be 20 thousand units and about 500 units are going to be produced by March 20.

Diesel Peugeot 206 SD
Diesel Peugeot 206 SD is equipped with a 1400 cc diesel engines with the Max power of 68 hp at 4000 rpm and a torque of 160 Nm. The maximum speed is 170 km/h and you can reach from zero to 100 km/h in 14.4 seconds. Fuel consumption is 5.4 l/km for urban driving and 3.7 l/km for highways. The combined fuel consumption cycle is 4.3 l/km.
Fuel consumption decrease and a 33% increase in the distance driven on a single tank fuel are Diesel 206 SD advantages over the gas-consuming models with the same engine capacity.
Beside the changes made to the engine and transmission system, some other parts have been modified too such as, engine mounting brackets, cooling system, A/C compressor, alternator, engine harnesses, main harness, battery ECU, exhaust system, sound proofing units and fuel system and fuel tank.
Mass production will launch by the end of January and the annual production volume is expected to be seven to ten thousand units.
Turkey, Romania, Bulgaria, Algeria, Morocco, Albania, Tunisia, Croatia, Serbia and Azerbaijan are of the markets targeted to for Diesel Peugeot 206 SD among which ALgerian market is keener than the others are.
