American customers now know how much to pay on a 2012 Beetle

The Americans finally know how much they have to pay for the 2012 Beetle. At the premier the model will be available with a 2.0-liter in-line four-cylinder turbocharged engine that will be able to deliver 200 horsepower and 207 lb. ft. of torque and a 2.5-liter in-line five-cylinder engine that can produce up to 170 horsepower.
The carmaker is proud to announce that the 2012 Beetle with the 2.0-liter engine will have a 30 mpg fuel economy on the highway and 22 mpg in the city and the 2.5-liter will have 22 mpg in the city and 29 mpg on the highway with the six-speed automatic transmission and 22 mpk in the city and 31 mpg on the highway when it's equipped with the five-speed manual. If you want more, Volkswagen gives you the option to choose a DSG dual-clutch gearbox.
The carmaker is thinking of producing the 2012 Beetle with a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder diesel engine that will be able to deliver 140 horsepower and 236 lb. ft. of torque. On average, the model will consume 40 mpg on the highway.
The car features 19 inch rims, Performance-Handling Packages, sport seats, Bluetooth, a special Frender Premium Audio System and a panoramic roof. Also the model has Keyless Access with push-button start, BI-XENON headlights, leather upholstery and last but not least, LED Daytime Running Lights.
