Mercedes SLC Info

The British press released today the initial info on a new Porsche 911 rival, which will be built by Mercedes, called the SLC. The Mercedes SLC will have a front-engine, rear wheel-drive architecture, and it will be positioned just under the SLS. the new Merc SLC will be a two-door two-seater, which will be sold both as a coupe and a roadster. We know that the power of the SLC will come from a V8 engine, however, its exact specifications are still a mystery.



Our sources claim that the Mercedes SLC has already went passed the approval commission, and is now heading to AMG for the development phase. It's expected to hit the market sometime in 2014. there are even speculations regarding its price. The Mercedes SLC is expected to cost around 86,000 EUR.
Mercedes is expected to put the coupe version of the SLC on sale in around 3 years time, with a canvas-top convertible following in 2016.
