Honda CR-Z hybrid racer is ready for demonstration runs at Le Mans

The second annual Le Mans Vers Le Futur is going to host the campaign of a CR-Z hybrid racecar, as the latest news from the Japanese company informs. The event represents a support for the 79th running of the 24 Hours of Le Mans, where Nissan is also taking part with the pure-electric Leaf Nismo RC concept, thus proving its devotion to showcasing the Le Mans racing cars of the future. The Cr-Z Hybrid model was presented to the public for the first time at Las Vegas, at SEMA, last year, being developed by Honda Performance Development, also known as HPD, which proudly represents the racing arm of American Honda. The car model is powered by the standard model's hybrid powertrain which incorporates a 1.5-liter gasoline engine together with an electric unit which was mounted between the six-speed manual gearbox and the internal combustion engine, delivering 237 Nm of torque and 200HP.
