2010 Hyundai Genesis Coupe 2.0T R-Spec
Back when Hyundai launched its Genesis Coupe last spring, the Korean maker announced that it would be adding another variant targeted specifically at the tuner crowd. As this is being written, the 2.0T R-Spec is being shipped to dealers and will have its official coming out next week in Las Vegas at the
SEMA show.
The R-Spec cuts what is billed as "non-essential" convenience bits like cruise control, Bluetooth, the trip computer and steering wheel audio controls to cut both weight and cost. Since the R-Spec is targeted at customers that are likely to add some sort of body kit anyway, no rear wing is installed, either.
On the other hand, it includes all of the good bits from the track pack like the 19pinch wheels, Brembo brakes and Torsen limited slip differential. R-Spec models are available only in white, red and black with the 2.0-liter 210 turbo four banger. It goes out the door at a relatively modest $23,750, leaving both racers and Hot Import Nights guys and gals with a bit of cash to spend on the inevitable upgrades. Check out the official press release after the jump for further details.
