افتراضي Hyundai presents Elantra Coupe at LA Auto Show

Inside Line has recently informed that the 2011 Hyundai Elantra coupe is scheduled to make its international debut at the Los Angeles Auto Show. The new car model is targeted directly at Honda's new Civic and is aimed to build on the rising success of the South Korean brand in the US. Mechanically speaking, the new Elantra is going to be similar to the sedan version which is currently being sold on the American market, but its body style is expected to be slightly different, as a coupe requires. A 1.8-liter engine powers the sedan version, delivering 148HP and 177 Nm of torque and it is mated to a six-speed automatic transmission. Hyundai boasts with them an impressive consumption figure of 28 mpg urban and 40 mpg highway. An R-spec version powered by the turbocharged engine in the works for the top version of the Veloster, is to feature the coupe version of the Elantra in case the customer wishes more power. Hyundai has not released any information related to the price of the coupe, but it is expected to be an affordable one, as Hyundai seriously intends to conquer the American market. The pricing for the sedan version of the Elantra starts from $14,830.
