The EX1 concept car has set six new world acceleration and speed records for electric vehicles. Smashing the 1/4 mile, 500m and 1,000m speed records held since 1971 by an Opel GT Electric, it then set three new speed records over 1/8 mile, 1/2 mile and 1 mile.

This success shows the huge potential of electric vehicles as performance cars alongside their role in reducing CO2 emissions.
