كشفت شركة بي ام دبليو الالمانية الستار عن احدث مشاريعها وهو انتاج ناقل حركه مكون من 8 سرعات يقوم بتغيير السرعات بناء على معلومات يستقبلها من نظام تحديد المواقع عن طريق الاقمار الصناعيه GPS .
يقوم ناقل الحركه بضبط طريقة تغيير السرعات بناءا عن المعلومات المستوحاه من نظام تحديد المواقع عن شكل وظروف الطريق ليعطي السائق قياده سلسه دون اي مشاكل .
اعلنت بي ام دبليو ايضا انها في القريب العاجل يمكن ان تربط نظام ناقل الحركه المكون من 8 سرعات بكاميره او حساسات الرادار للتنبوء وارسال البيانات للناقل الحركه ولكن بي ام دبليو رفضت ان تعطي معلومات اكثر بخصوص موعد اضافة هذه التقنيات الى سيارتها .
