DeltaWing Concept will be presented at the 24 Hours of Le Mans

DeltaWing Concept will be revealed at the very well known event, 24 Hours of Le Mans. DeltaWing Racing Cars LLC, All American Racers and the Highcroft Racing or Project 56 took advantage of the experience of Dan Gurney accumulated at the 1967 Le Mans edition.
The size of the team increased as the founder of the American Le Mans Series, Dr. Don Panoz decided to help out.
The concept car was updated, but what the team wanted was to reduce the fuel consumption, but without affecting the performance. The model has a 1.6-liter turbocharged engine that is able to produce up to 300 horsepower.
The number is not very impressive as almost all its rivals can deliver up to 600 horsepower. The advantage of this vehicle consists in the weight. The car weights 475 kg and the engineers were able to reach a very high speed without the standard wings, but with the downforce.
