<a href="http://autoblog.com/make/mini">Mini</a> may have just released its own <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2011/06/06/mini-coupe-prototype-teased-full-engine-lineup-revealed/">"spy photos" of the new Coupe</a>, set to go on sale later this year, but now, our cameramen have spotted the next-generation volume model Mini out on the street. As you can see, the next <a href="http://autoblog.com/model/cooper">Mini Cooper</a> is expected to grow in size a bit, if only to make room for a smaller entry-level car that's coming down the pipeline (previewed by the <a href="http://autoblog.com/tag/rocketman">Rocketman</a> concept from this year's <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/category/geneva-motor-show/">Geneva Motor Show</a>).<br />

While the Mini's overall shape won't be changing, we can expect the front fascia to take influence from the design seen on the <a href="http://autoblog.com/model/countryman">Countryman</a> crossover. Moreover, the new platform that underpins the Cooper will be shared with a new series of front-wheel-drive <a href="http://autoblog.com/make/bmw">BMW</a> models.
