Going up against the likes of the Volkswagen Golf and Ford Focus (Euro-spec, of course) means that the Megane must be offered in a variety of body styles, of which the coupe and the all-important hatchback <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2008/10/05/paris-2008-renault-megane-iii/">debuted last Fall</a> at the <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/category/Paris-Motor-Show/">Paris Motor Show</a>. Up next? A four-door sedan, as seen in these spy shots almost completely covered up in drag. This same platform is also expected to spawn a crossover utility vehicle and a classic wagon. Each of the Megane models will be powered by the buyer's choice of gasoline engines ranging from 100 to 180 horsepower, or diesels packing between 85 and 150 horsepower.
