Wood-bladed Audi R8 makes us laugh, cry

The Audi R8's won a lot of admiration for its avant-garde styling, and those side blades are perhaps the supercar's most interesting styling feature. One owner, however, evidently wasn't satisfied with the carbon-fiber or aluminum finish, so he came up with a different approach that's considerably more... down to Earth.

The image comes to us courtesy of MotorMorph.com, and love it or hate it, you've got to admit the wood panel looks better than the plastic ones did on those Chrysler minivans from your childhood. Now, there's no guarantees that this isn't just a crafty Photoshop job, and because of that, we'll cross our fingers in the hope that this example of hilarious blasphemy isn't out roaming the streets.
