In Greece, we are taught that Egyptian military strength is to be respected. During the Greek War of Independence (1821-1829), the Greek rebels had the Ottoman Turks on the run, forcing the Turkish sultan to call on the Egyptians for assistance. Greek forces lost all 174 battles against Egyptian forces, and very soon, the Egyptian sultan decided to conquer Greece for himself. Only the intervention of the British, French and Russians saved Greece from becoming an Egyptian possession. Despite that, Egyptian soldiers were always compassionate, tending to the wounded and captured Greek soldiers, and never beating or raping Greek women. In some Greek villages today, young boys are told to be "as brave as an Egyptian". Egypt is strong!

مجمل الكلام ان الجيش المصرى تم الاستعانه به فى حرب الاستقلال اليونانيه من قبل السلطان التركى و عند انضمام الجيش المصرى اليهم لم يخسرو اى معركه امام الجيش اليونانى تقريبا 174 معركه كسبها والمهم مش انه كسب لا المهم فى كل دا ان اهل البلد قالو ان الجندى المصرى كان :-
1- لا يغتصب أمراه
2- رحيما بالمصابين
3- محترم فى التعامل
4- لا يميلون الى الضرب
5- واخيرا انه حتى الآن في بعض قرى اليونان ما زالوا يعلمون اطفالهم ان يكون شجاع مثل المصري. مصر قوية.
اذا حاول احد ان ينسك من انت فتذكر تاريخك فليس لاحد تاريخ مثل تاريخك
