In a sad piece of news, MINI and BMW have decided not to produce the wildly popular Rocketman Concept unveiled at this year's Geneva Auto show. This is quite the opposite of what we were told a short while back.

MINI has been on a product onslaught for the last few years, introducing the Clubman and Countryman to park alongside the regular Cooper in dealership showrooms. The Paceman Concept, presented in Detroit, is slated to see assembly lines shortly along with another 8 or 9 vehicles over the next few years.
We were especially enamoured by the Rocketman, having met it live in Switzerland, but we are happy to announce that MINI will incorporate some of the Rocket's clever features in its future line-up.
Poor little guy never had a chance...
