Porsche is preparing for production a new model with the name of Cajun. The date the carmaker has prepared to start the sale is uncertain yet. There are more speculations, but nothing for sure.
Audi is now working to develop new twin-turbocharged 3.0-liter V6 diesel engines for the Q5. The model will be on the market only next year. Apparently the same engine will be in the Cajun also and it will be able to deliver around 300 horsepower.
The Q5 will not be the only model to take advantage of the new engine. No. From the A to the Q7 the models will have a V6 TDI. It sounds a little out there, but doable.
The Cajun will be produced in Germany at Porsche's plant in Leipzig by the VW Group and will be the first Porsche model to be developed by Walter de' Silva, VW chief designer.
The reasons the carmaker choose the Leipzis plant are the Cayenne and the Panamera who had a lot of success thanks to the quality and professionalism of their engineers. The model will be perfect for young drivers and because of the qualities it has, like technology and the sporty look, the smallest SUV will be for sure on the lists of the young customers.
