Buick LaCrosse eAssist price is available

The 2012 model year Buick LaCrosse sedan manages to sit atop of the range with the introduction of a new standard 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine that integrates a more efficient and more powerful version of the direct-injected E85-capable 3.6-liter V6 unit. The LaCrosse with GM's micro-hybrid eAssist technology model boasts a fuel economy that is estimated to be 25 percent better than the current base model, producing 182HP 2.4-liter four-pot. But its price increased a bit, starting from $29,960 and after the customer pays the $860 destination charge, it reaches $30,820, which represents $2,830 over as compared to the current LaCrosse CX. According to General Motors, the 2012 LaCrosse is eye-catching with its 37 mpg fuel economy, being much betther than the 2011 model year sedan integrating a four-cylinder engine, which delivered 30 mpg. Later this year, the same hybrid powertrain is planned to make its way into the 2012 Buick regal, while the 2012 MY is also bringing an updated version of the LaCrosse's range-topping 3.6-liter V6 engine incorporating variable valve timing together with direct-injection technology. Other upgrades available for the 2012 LaCrosse include USB connectivity, Bluetooth, full-color driver information center, 17-inch alloy wheels as well as standard features such as dual-zone climate control. The Detroit automaker has also informed that the front-wheel-drive 3.6-liter model delivers 303HP and 358 Nm of peak torque, showing a considerable improvement of 23HP and 5 lb-ft over the 2011 MY LaCrosse's V6. The pricing for the top-end V6 models has not been released yet, but we will come back with further details.
