ccording to well-placed sources within the top secret BMW development compound, the German automaker is working on a new model, the X3 M, which may come to market wielding three air-cramming turbochargers and a bump from 3.0- to 3.2-liters for good measure, according to Car.

The engine that will reportedly be force fed an incredible amount of hot air will be a version of the new straight six, straight from the upcoming M3. The result of such extreme engineering is said to be 449 brake horsepower. Not much else is known at this time about this model, but it is believed that it could arrive as soon as calender year 2012, likely as a 2013 model year vehicle.
