Delphi Provides New OE-Designed Compressor Alternative

Delphi aftermarket SP compressors to fit a wider range of late model vehicles.



Delphi continues demonstrating its strength as a leading provider of Original Equipment (OE) solutions to the aftermarket through its thermal expansion of OE-designed SP compressors. Partnering together, Delphi aftermarket and OE engineers applied their innovative SP compressor technology, used by major OEMs around the world, and engineered them to fit late model applications for the aftermarket in North America, Euorpe and South America.
This advanced technology is unlike many of its competitors since Delphi doesn’t simply copy an OE part for the aftermarket, but uses its OE experience to develop and engineer aftermarket parts the same way it does as an OE supplier. Plus, Delphi integrates its latest technological upgrades into current units as soon as they’re introduced at the OE level. This allows for cost efficiencies benefiting from its OE quality origins.
“What many of our competitors do is reverse engineer an OE part, which doesn’t always result in the best quality, performance and total system optimization,” said Marcelo Ganasevici, global product line director, independent aftermarket, Delphi Product & Service Solutions. “We use our own technology to deliver OE engineering, quality and validation at a competitive price — and we bring those products to market faster because of our 100 years of OE experience.”
Like all of its products, Delphi’s SP compressors are engineered and manufactured to match OE form, fit and function, so no modifications need to be made to the vehicle or the product during installation. Delphi tested its new compressor line for OE-specified durability and performance to 100,000 miles, and conducted nearly 30 final assembly checks before packaging.
