خفضت الفنادق في دبي أسعار الإقامة والخدمات فيها بنسبة تصل إلى 30% لتنشيط الحركة السياحية خلال أعياد الميلاد ورأس السنة، بحسب عاملين في هذه الفنادق، وتسعى الفنادق والمطاعم الى تعظيم الاستفادة من الحدثين الأخيرين في العام، من خلال تقديم عروض وتنشيط حركة الترويج بين رواد الحفلات والمطاعم والإقامة في الفنادق خلال فترة الاحتفالات بالمناسبتين، وسط توقعات بكثافة عالية في الحركة خلال احتفالات الكريسماس ورأس السنة، تمثل أعياد الميلاد ورأس السنة آخر فصول الأعياد والمواسم لاختتام أعمال السنة في الفنادق بنتائج جيدة قبل الدخول في عام 2009 الذي يمثل عاماً شائكاً لجميع القطاعات، وفقاً لتوصيف قائمين على القطاع الفندقي في الدولة
